Paris, je t'aime!!
Oh mon Dieu! For those in love with the city of lights, "Midnight in Paris", the penultimate Woody Allen movie, is a tribute to the French capital, a gift for the senses (the beautiful scenes of the city and magnificent sound track), a love celebration! I'll never forget the first time I saw the Eiffel Towel. I cried with the emotion! This movie brought back those memories!

The main character, Owen Wilson, exalts his passion for the place that: “... For all we know... is the center of the universe”. Woody impregnates us with each corner of magical Paris. I love it!
El protagonista, Owen Wilson, exalta a la enésima potencia su amor por el lugar al que llama "El centro del Universo". Nos impregna con pasión de cada rincón de este lugar mágico y substituye perfectamente al personaje que hace unos años hubiera representado el propio director.
But aside of it's location, the most important part in the film are the dialogues. Genius and witty like Allen. Owen Wilson is a good substitute for a character that Woody would have played himself years ago.
The film touches an universal topic, common to all generations. The belief that any past time was always better.
Great 20's style dresses (by the Spanish Sonia Grande) and superb supporting cast. Specially Adrien Brody as Dali. Outstanding!

Para los amantes de la ciudad de la luz , "Midnight in Paris" (En España tendréis que esperar al 13 de Mayo, salvo descargas ilegales ejem ejem..) la penúltima película de Woody Allen es toda una oda a la capital Francesa, un regalo para los sentidos, una celebración del amor.. ! Nunca olvidaré la primera vez que ví la Torre Eifel. Lloré de emoción. Y esta película me ha vuelto a traer esos recuerdos! Esas preciosas las tomas de la cuidad con la banda sonora de fondo!(Clásicos del Jazz y Blues como Cole Porter o Frank Sinatra)

Aparte de encuadre maravilloso, lo más importante del film son los diálogos. Ocurrentes y geniales como es Allen.
El film aborda un tema universal, común a todas las generaciones. La creencia de que todo tiempo pasado fue mejor... y hasta aquí puedo contar :)
Maravilloso el vestuario años 20 (de la española Sonia Grande) y los papeles secundarios, en especial Adrien Brody como Dali. Excepcional!

Dear Ryan...
Well,
Talking about the pleasure of driving of the last post.. this one is dedicated to the incredible, charming, smart and super talented start of the 2011 movie "Drive". The amazing.... Ryyyyyann Goooosssling!!

For those who have not succumbed to his charms yet (I did at the end of 2011) I'll put you on precedents:
This good guy looking man is Canadian and has been in the entertainment industry for almost all his life. (He was one of the Disney Club with Justin and Britney!!)
He's 32 and is the latest "it" guy in Hollywood. He's called the "New Clooney". To my opinion, he is much more than that. (Clooney is also a cool guy for his directorial talent and political compromise)
But coming back to the center of this post, Ryan. Here are the list of films you should run and watch (if you haven't done so yet). Warning: Danger of falling in love is advised.
The Notebook / El Diario de Noa : (2004)
One of the most romantics films f the decade. After this movie, good guys came in to stay!
Gossip: He dated the co-star Rachel McAdam for two years and also formed a band with her brother in law.
Drive: (2011):
No words. So cool. Smart, intriguing and different. Ryan is the guy of no name on this movie. In his Chevy Impala, he brilliantly plays an enigmatic character where speaking is not even needed.
Attention to the sound track of the film by Cliff Martínez.. Superb!!

Crazy Stupid Love : (2011) Dirigida / Directed : Glenn Ficarra and John Requa
Romantic Comedy with extra doses of Ryan at his coolest. He's the perfect charming guy turned into in love. (Type of "Hitched" movie with Will Smith). I love his retro-smart style of dressing.
The ides of March / Los idus de Marzo, 2011.
Excellent film directed by George Clooney. Realistic and provocative, in this political drama Ryan plays the unscrupulus campaign man of the presidential candidate (George) in the race for the White House. Special mention as well to Philip Seymour Hoffman (Truman Capote, 2005).

Y ya que hablaba en el último post del placer de conducir.. nos viene que ni pintado este acerca del protagonista de la película del 2011 "Drive". El maravilloso, el inigualableee ..... Ryaaaan Gosling! Aaaaaaaaaaaajhhhhh!!! (Gritos de fan enloquecida!) Por favor lee el post con la banda sonora de Drive como fondo...

Sin palabras. Dirigida por Nicolas Winding Refn. En esta brillante obra, Ryan es el chico sin nombre, a bordo de su Chevy Impala, nos muestra un personaje muy enigmático, al que no le hace falta apenas hablar. Te tendrá en una tensión calmada extraña. Atención a la banda sonora increible de Cliff Martínez. Os dejo un pequeño fragmento para los que no la hayáis visto. UN 10! Por cierto, y querrás una bomber en cuanto la termines de ver :)

Buenísima película dirigida por George Clooney en la que se muestran los entresijos de la política americana. Ryan borda el papel como voraz hombre de campaña electoral de uno de los candidatos a la presidencia de EEUU. Papelón también de Philip Seymour Hoffman ( el prota de "Truman Capote", 2005).
I still HAVE TO watch "Blue Valantine" (with Michelle Williams :) and the latest movie with his new girlfriend , Eva Mendez! "Beyond the Pines". (They're so hot together!)
Me quedan por ver la peli de "Blue Valantine" con Michelle William (que contaba hace dos post) y la que ha hecho con la que ahora es su chica, Eva Mendez! "Beyond the Pines". Que buena pareja hacen.. me gustan :)
If after watching all this you haven't feel in love, then you are in the 1% of the population immune to Ryan.
Si después de ver todo esto no os habéis enamorado, entonces formáis parte de ese uno por ciento de la población inmune a Ryan.

SECRETS
First of all I need to apologize for not updating the blog in so long. Easter holidays! I promise I will keep regular entries from now on :) Two a week.
En primer lugar quiero pedir disculpas por no actualizar en tantos días. He estado de vacaciones! Prometo mantener a partir de ahora al menos dos entradas semanales :)
During these days I have had time to reflect about what makes people happy and why sometimes we feel the necessity of express our anger to others. Until we don't reach peace with our inner self we wont ease this pain.
Here are some the simple things that work for me when I am a bit down.
Estas son algunas de las cosas que me hacen sentir mejor cuando estoy bajilla. En realidad, es un círculo. Cuanto más practico actividades que me hacen feliz, menos tiempo tengo para pensamientos negativos. (Lógico pero que no hace tanto que he descubierto!)
1) GO FOR A DRIVE:
Anywhere. And blast my favorite music.
Conducir. No importa dónde. Y poner mi música favorita a todo volumen.
Right now I would listen to FELA KUTI:
Ahora mismo escucharía FELA KUTI. ( Famosísimo artista Nigeriano ya fallecido)
Since a friend introduced me to his music I can't stop listening to his songs. Not only the sound but his revolutionary lyrics. Brilliant and Timeless!
Desde que un amigo me presentó su música no puedo parar de escucharle. No sólo la melodía, también sus letras revolucionarias. Brillante y atemporal!
2)TAKE A CLASS:
If its academic, listen, concentrate in what the lecturer is talking about. French classes are for me now, but there is a million things to learn about.
Apúntate a clases. Si es académica, atiende, concéntrate en la materia empápate. Para mí ahora mismo es francés, pero hay millones de cosas que podemos aprender.
Dublin People's College has very economical lessons for almost anything from creative writing to music instruments or theater playing.
El People's College en Dublin tiene clases casi de todo. Desde escritura creativa hasta instrumentos o teatro a muy muy bajos precios.. y excelentes tutores.

If the class is an activity. Enjoy. Play. Laugh at yourself and breathe. Pilates is one the best exercises you can practice to work your core muscles and to stretch at the same time to connect with your breath and concentration. You can only see by yorurself how good it makes you feel. And the body results are amazyn too! For people in Ireland: Melt in Temple Bar Lane S. Dublin 2. The teacher Philip is super! Si la case es activa, disfruta, juega, ríete de tí mis@ y respira! Pilates es por ejemplo uno de los mejores ejercicios que se pueden practicar para endurecer los músculos del tronco, estirar y aprender a conectar la respiración con concentración. Los resultados en el cuerpo son increíbles.
